Under the direction of Chef Greg Murphy, the Carriage House Dining Room is known island-wide for its fine classic American cuisine. Local seafood selections such as Carriage House Whitefish from Lake Superior and Sautéed Perch from Lake Erie are paired with fresh salads, soups and desserts topped with signature Iroquois Hot Fudge.

Directly overlooking the Straits of Mackinac, guests enjoy flawless service in our glass-enclosed dining room or on one of our breezy outdoor waterfront verandas. The restaurant features an extensive wine list, full bar and nightly entertainment at the piano bar.

The Carriage House serves dinner June 12 through October 11 and lunch June 12 through September 13.

Pink Pony Dining Room

The Pink Pony Dining Room is the best casual dining experience on Mackinac Island. With the decor of a relaxing island bistro The Pink Pony Dining Room serves up the best value for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. With floor to ceiling windows the views of the Harbor and Marina are spectacular.

Breakfast

Kids Eat Free! Guests staying at the Chippewa Hotel age ten and under can enjoy a complimentary breakfast from the children’s menu during each morning of their stay when accompanied by an adult.

Throughout the day – Children can enjoy making their selections from the special Children’s Menu. Meals created just for them at a child size price.

A casual restaurant/bar just a short walk down Grand Hill. Serving lunch, dinner, and beverages inside and outside. Televisions and live music. Overnight guests of Grand Hotel on the Modified American Plan or Full American Plan receive a $20.00 per adult credit towards the food portion of their dinner bill. Fort Mackinac Tea Room

One of the most delightful and scenic settings on Mackinac Island to enjoy luncheon or a late afternoon snack. Tour this historic site and relax afterwards with a delicious meal and exceptional view of downtown Mackinac Island and the harbor. Admission to Fort Mackinac is required. A visit to Fort Mackinac includes a self-guided tour of the Fort, seeing 1780’s soldiers demonstrate rifle firings and a cannon salute over the harbor. The Jockey Club at the Grand Stand

Located on the first tee of The Jewel, with a menu featuring sandwiches, soup and salad for luncheon daily. A complete menu is also available for dinner and s’mores on the terrace, seasonally. Guests can enjoy this casual dining locale as an alternative to dinner in the Main Dining Room. Golfers, please call ahead to order box lunches to enjoy during your round.

The Jockey Club will open for the 2013 season on Thursday, May 16th.

Coffee & To-Go Food – Mission Point Resort

Enjoy some of Mackinac Island’s best picnic provisions at Mission Point Resort in one of the island’s best picnic locations, the Great Lawn. MPR is home to two coffee shops: Boxwood Coffeeshop & Café, located in the Main Lodge Marketplace and Strait UP Coffee, located in the Straits Lodge east lobby. Founded in 2020, the Mission Point Picnic Society is Mackinac Island’s first picnic club! We encourage all guests and visitors to grab a picnic basket, get outside and enjoy delicious food and scenic views!

Boxwood Coffeeshop & Café

Boxwood Coffeeshop & Café is just steps from M-185 and the Mission Point Great Lawn and offers a variety of to-go items including specialty coffees, teas, beer and wine, snacks, ice cream, and hot and cold breakfast and lunch options.

Strait UP Coffee

Strait UP Coffee is a small café located in the east lobby of the Straits Lodge, one of two buildings at Mission Point Resort for guest accommodations. Similar to their Main Lodge coffee shop, Boxwood Coffeeshop & Café, Strait UP Coffee is an ideal stop for Straits Lodge guests offering a variety of items including specialty coffees, teas, pop, beer & wine, snacks, and to-go breakfast & lunch options.

PS – did you know that the name “Strait UP Coffee” is a play on the Straits of Mackinac and the Upper Peninsula (UP)?
