SKIING AT TREETOPS
With our location in northern Michigan, Treetops offers some of the finest terrain in the Midwest. Take advantage of our 23 picturesque ski runs, complete with three chairlifts and two tow ropes. A guest seating area in the Warming Hut is located at the base of the slopes where parents have a clear view of their children learning to ski. To further ease the transition of the beginner skier, we have extended one of the tow ropes an additional 145 feet to a lower location. We also feature “The Yard” Terrain park that will be back by popular demand this year which is home to tabletops and rails for skiers and snowboarders in search of a challenge.

And with thousands of acres of State Land and easy access to snowmobile trails nearby, this chalet makes a great hunting or snowmobiling camp as well.
Enjoy an old-fashioned getaway in this private beachfront A-frame cottage on Little Bear Lake in Johannesburg, Michigan, just 30 minutes from Gaylord. This cozy three-bedroom cottage that sleeps eight is clean, modern and comfortable. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, bedroom #2 has a queen size futon, bedroom #3 has two twins and the family room has a sleeper sofa that will sleep two. Living room amenities include: 27″ TV with satellite, DVD player, VCR, board games and kids videos. Welcome to the Sugar Bowl, Gaylord’s Landmark Restaurant located in the heart of the Alpine Village since 1919. The Family Room at the Sugar Bowl features a casual atmosphere, serving breakfast from 7 AM and throughout the day. Lunch is served from 11AM to 4PM, featuring super sandwiches, light lunches and homemade desserts. Nightly dinner specials and sandwiches are served from 4 to close. Children are welcomed. The Open Hearth Room offers table cloth service, serving dinner from 5:30 to close. We offer extra fresh Whitefish, Prime Rib, prepares Specials, a full menu and Wine List as well as our famous Gourmet Salad Table with hot and cold Greek Specialties.
